welcome friends... been years since we've made a post, but we've been collecting for you :)
this sexy, female empowering, cross-gender bending "alt" / "creepy" ; "lady looks like a dude" fashion of our longtime fascination is hotter than ever especially with the growing popularity of our newest addition, Roller Derby. WE have a confession, Roller Derby is to blame for the derth in posts... but like we said, we've been collecting...

Gilrs of CollegeHumor
We found these girls on www.CollegeHumor.com as part of the Cute College Girl series. They're not all wearing ties, but the site is about alternative fashion, so scarves, suspenders, et al, all qualify for our attention.

Vendetta New Year 2010
On Recent TV
We spotted a few ladies wearing ties on recent TV. The character Vesta on Caprica is a divisive holo-band underworld boss, this particular New Cap sub plot is one of our favorites.

We also caught Maggie Gyllenhaal photoshopped with a tie in the "Flags of the World" music video from Saturday Night Live. Enjoy.

C. Viper
With E3 a couple weeks ago, and our recent Rock Band post, we thought we'd stick with a gaming theme and throw up some pics of our favorite Street Fighter IV character, C. Viper. This gadget footed, voluptuous lady James Bond in a four foot pink braid is a dynamic addition to the Street Fighter universe, and a great role model for tie wearing, ass kicking chicks everywhere.

Cool Oversized Ties
It's great to see a popular and mainstream fashion company promoting an alternative fashion sense. American Apparel is promoting the multiple ways to wear their "The Sash" product and three of them are variations of a neck tie. I don't know if it's just the model, but damn do these pics look good.
